The Elephant and Castle Inn

The Elephant and Castle inn, Eyke.

One of the oldest dwellings in the village of Eyke, The Elephant and Castle Inn was originally built as a house in the mid 1600’s and converted to a public house by John Fuller around 1707.

It still has today many of the original features including oak beams, sloping ceilings and two huge fire places that still provide warmth in the winter months.

The Elephant and Castle Inn is owned by Ian and Sandra, landlord and landlady extraordinaire who are ably assisted by Brew, the most loved pub dog in Suffolk.

There is always a warm welcome for our guests not only from Ian and Sandra but especially from Brew who loves to meet and greet new friends!
